Branch Manager

Just Friends is a charity for people who live alone, who do not want a partner or relationship, Just Friends. Our aim is to help combat loneliness by having a friendly, safe environment for people who live alone and would love to meet new friends and enjoy social gatherings and events.
We are looking for a Branch Manager who will work on a self-employed basis subject to a probationary period of 3 months; the remuneration will be £11 per hour, rising to £13 per hour on completion of a successful probation.
It is envisaged that the BM will be working to a maximum of 25 hours per week but some of this will be using the computer which requires computer literacy.
The task will be to initially take responsibility for the efficient and harmonious workings of branches in Eastbourne, Bexhill and Newhaven, then moving quickly on to absorbing new branches, where the first may be in Hastings then other places including Lewes and Brighton.

Duties will include :
Managing Branch Activities
Ensure the Charity’s aims, objectives and constitution is upheld and protected
Liaison with venue management
Attending Trustees meetings as directed
Working within budget
Preparing reports for Trustees
Taking money from members for events, accurately recording names and receipt numbers and passing monies to the Treasurer or banking as directed

Personal Requirements :
Clean Driving Licence
Computer Literate
Friendly personality
Basic administrative skills including report writing
Knowledge of the East Sussex high populated areas
Accepted DBS Application
Physical condition that will allow the duties to be fulfilled
Appreciation of economic values
Ability to satisfy Trustees confidence
Ability to work as a team member and with other paid staff, including the administrator.
Understanding of the “Just Friends” Ethos.
Ability to accept Charity disciplines
Excellent Communicator
